Meredith Carter has joined the Berman Law Group, a law firm headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. Meredith will be facilitating the firm’s opening of its Georgia practice, which will be headquartered in Atlanta. The Berman Law Group is dedicated to fighting for those injured by the negligence of others, including those injured in automobile accidents, nursing homes, on the premises of a business or other property, and injuries from general negligence. The Berman Law Group also represents individuals who were sexually harassed or sexually assaulted in the workplace or sexually assaulted because of negligent security.

Meredith Carter has more than two decades of experience representing plaintiffs in personal injury and employment matters. In addition to advocating to protect their legal rights, she also represents clients in appeals, arbitrations and in mediations.

She also provides counsel to employees and other workers who have been injured or wronged in the workplace. Meredith has successfully resolved numerous employment claims and obtained favorable settlements for clients in matters related to sexual harassment, sexual assault, retaliation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Title VII discrimination, Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), overtime violations and other Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) claims.

She works with clients who have severance agreements, non-compete agreements, and non-solicitation agreements in addition to a wide range of other labor and employment matters as well as Georgia whistleblower claims.

In addition to litigation, Meredith represents clients in appellate cases before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in an effort to preserve a hard-won victory or challenge an unfavorable outcome. Additionally, she represents clients in out-of-court forums such as arbitration and mediation to resolve matters efficiently and effectively.

Meredith joined The Berman Law Group as a Litigation Attorney after owning her own boutique litigation firm specializing in labor and employment law claims for many years.

Earlier in her career, she served clients at other boutique personal injury and employment litigation firms in Atlanta and Alabama.

Barred in both Georgia and Alabama, Meredith is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Cobb County Bar Association, and is the Committee Chair of the Lunch and Learn program of the Georgia chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. She was honored to be selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2011.

Meredith has successfully tried and settled numerous cases for clients in her two decades of practicing law, including matters against multi-million and billion-dollar corporations that resulted in six figure settlements.
